The19F NMR chemical shifts of the ferrocenyl(p-fluorophenyl) and ruthenocenyl(p-fluorophenyl) carbocations testify to the greater effectiveness of the ruthenocenyl group over the ferrocenyl group in delocalizing the positive charge.
