Engelsiz Erişim Açısından Karabük İlinde Bulunan İlk Ve Orta Öğretim Okul Binalarının İncelenmesi

In the world, improvements are made in social areas to enable people with disabilities, like all people, to participate in the gathering. However, many of these improvements seen to have been made to fulfill legal obligations. Accordingly, disabled people face some problems in social life. Therefore, it is necessary to take some precautions for ensuring the process of disabled peoples’ participation in social life such as especially education and health without any problem. This study examines to the accessibility conditions of the school buildings affiliated to the Ministry of National Education located in Karabuk in terms of the physically handicapped individuals. The obtained results in the research show that the majority of the primary and secondary school buildings in the Karabuk provincial center of affiliated to the National Education are not suitable for the accessibility of the disabled individuals.
