Preparation and pyroelectricity of electrospun PVDF nanofiber film

Polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) with β phase has been widely used in energy harvesting and infrared detecting due to its high piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties.PVDF nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning,and the effects of solvent composition,polymer concentration and flow rate on the morphology and β phase content of PVDF fibers were investigated with scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The continous and uniform β phase PVDF fibers with the diameter of 600nm were obtained.The pyroelectric properties of PVDF nanofiber film was investigated with 3.4μm infrared light modulated at different frequencies.
