Security in Wireless Sensor Network Using IPsec

2020
As applications of the wireless sensor network (WSN) continuously increasing, the communications of wireless sensor technologies have become the most emerging fields of wireless communication technologies. When we use sensor networks in a remote environment, health monitoring, and machine automation, security of these networks will become the main concern. The main focus of this work is to make sensor networks secure by ensuring authentication, integrity, and confidentiality. The proposed approach used IPsec with sensor network protocols. In this work, IPsec has been used to provide security and integrity for the sensor network. IPsec, the protocol of the network layer, provides connectionless integrity, data origin authentication, protection against replay attacks, and confidentiality. In this chapter, some changes will be made in the IPsec protocol suite for using it with WSN.
