Consumo de alcohol en niños y adolescentes de un municipio en el sur de Brasil

espanolEl presente articulo busco identificar habitos de consumo de alcohol en estudiantes de primaria en edades comprendidas entre 10 y 13 anos de un municipio en Brasil. Participaron 710 estudiantes quienes brindaron informacion sociodemografica, habitos familiares y datos de uso y consumo de alcohol. Pudo constatarse que 62,8% de los participantes habian consumido alcohol en el ultimo mes y 19,4% habian vivido la experiencia de embriagarse. El consumo de alcohol en jovenes se asocio con la edad y el consumo de tabaco, asi como con las variables: ser victima de violencia por parte de alguno de los padres, consumo de alcohol por parte de estos y el dialogo familiar. Puede concluirse que el consumo de alcohol en los jovenes esta relacionado con los habitos familiares, la edad y la utilizacion de tabaco. EnglishThe present paper aims to verify the consumption of alcohol among students between ten and thirteen years old of elementary education at public and private schools in a city in Southern Brazil. 710 students were questioned about sociodemographic data, family habits and alcohol use. We found that 62.8% of participants had tried alcohol, 45.3% had consumed alcohol in the past 30 days and 19,4% had been drunk. Alcohol consumption among the young people was associated with age, tobacco use, and the variables: being the victim of violence from parents, the consumption of alcoholic beverages by these and family dialogue. We came to the conclusion that the consumption of alcohol among the young people is associated with family habits, age, and tobacco use.
