Effects of antifungal transgenic rice on organic nitrogen composition in soil.

2013
【Objective】Effects of transgenic rice on soil organic nitrogen composition were studied to provide references for evaluating the role of transgenic crops in nitrogen supplying capability of soil. 【Method】Field plot experiment was carried out, two antifungal transgenic rice varieties viz., Zhuanpin 1 and Zhuanpin 8 were tested by using non-GMO parents Qisiruanzhan as control (CK), and organic nitrogen composition and fugal number variation of soil samples were determined before sowing and after harvesting. 【Result】The results showed that there was no remarkable difference in organic nitrogen compositions among the three treatments before planting or after harvest. Organic nitrogen compositions and proportion of total nitrogen were not significantly influenced by exogenous antifungal genes. The contents of soil acid hydrolyzed N components in descending order was as follows: amino acid Nhydrolyzed unidentified Nammonium Namino sugar N. The contents of amino acid N and amino sugar N were highly affected by the number of soil fungi which directly impacted the degradation ability of soil organic matter. 【Conclusion】Exogenous antifungal genes had little influence on organic nitrogen fractions.
