The dielectric studies on some substituted esters
2008
Abstract Dielectric behavior of some substituted esters compounds, namely, ethylsalicylate, amyl butyrate, methylanthranilate, amyl benzoate, ethypropionate dimetylphthalate, isobutyl benzoate and n -butyl acetate at room temperature are carried out at two frequencies: 9.73 GHz and 7.26 GHz. The results are discussed in terms of a single relaxation Cole and Cole model. In general it has been observed that the τ values observed in the pure liquid phase are longer by an order of 10 compared to their dilute solution values due to increased dipole interactions.
