The universal meter with the battery box has the advantages that because the shifting pin is additionally arranged and can dead lock the battery box into the meter shell, compared with a universal meter without a battery protection device, the installation quality of the battery is better, and the battery will not fall out of the universal meter; because the shifting pin can be converted between the state of dead locking the battery box and the state of not dead locking the battery box, compared with a universal meter with a battery box additionally provided with fixing screws, the battery can be replaced more conveniently.
