Properties of the West Valley Waste Form
1990
The centroid composition of the West Valley Demonstration Project waste form has been selected on the basis of criteria mandating high chemical durability and good processibility. A review of the physical and chemical properties of an envelope of West Valley waste form compositions that encompass the centroid composition and which fulfill the above criteria will be given. Data are presented to demonstrate that full-scale process controls at West Valley are sufficiently good to produce acceptably durable non-radioactive glass waste forms.
