Ecological risks of the impact of associated gas flaring on the environment

The technique of simulation of the zones of thermal and chemical impacts on the environment is tested for the case of an active unit for the associated natural gas flaring at the oil and gas field in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Using satellite imagery of medium spatial resolution (30 m) from the Landsat 8 satellite obtained in the winter of 2015, 2017 and 2018, and using geoinformation technologies, the zones of thermal and chemical attacks are constructed. This allows determining the level of pollution and ecological risk of the impact of associated petroleum gas flaring on the environment of oil and gas areas.
