Nowadays, the literacy of images has been shown to be necessary since they occupy space in all media. However, usually, reading books, whose illustrations have an esthetic impregnation, which fosters the constitution of the reader's affective memory and literates his / her eyes since childhood, is not part of the education of readers in the school environment. In these books, materiality, colors in illustrations, format, bottom of pages, composition of elements, typography, among other elements, are at the service of history. Its history, for presenting protagonists in becoming who obtain knowledge along the journey, dialogues with Bildungsroman. When accompanying these adventurers, the trainee reader embarks on a journey alongside them, especially towards himself. At the end of this literary journey, this reader is reunited with the world and feels transformed, by the perception that life continues on the journey of the next generations that give continuity to existence.
