Efficacy and safety of oxycodone-acetaminophen tablets for the treatment of cancer pain

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of oxycodone-acetaminophen tablets(Tylox) for the treatment of moderate and serious cancer pain.Methods: In 102 patients with moderate or serious cancer pain,oxycodone-acetaminophen tablet was orally administered.Improvements in pain and adverse effects were observed.Results: The effective rates were 82.5% for moderate pain and 71.8% for serious pain after oxycodone-acetaminophen tablet treatment.Only a few patients had adverse reactions,including dizziness,lethargy,nausea,vomiting and constipation.Conclusion: oxycodone-acetaminophen tablet has definite efficacy and slight adverse reaction in the treatment of moderate and serious cancer pain.
