Document Translation Using ODA

In chapter 2, we discussed many features that could be incorporated into a document model and examined the fidelity of translation that is possible given the plethora of features in contemporary systems. We narrowed the scope of document models in the previous chapter, where we described the subset of features found in the ODA model. In this chapter, we discuss the general document model used by the EXPRES participants and how that model is represented using ODA and the document application profile published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
