Newly Determined Oxidized HDL Subfractions Correlate with Coronary Artery Disease

2012
Synopsis: Recently, newly determined oxidized high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) subfractions and in particular apolipoproteins have become available for routine measurement. Testing their significance as new cardiac risk factors demonstrates promising results. Purpose: We hypothesize that newly determined HDLrelated apolipoproteins are risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD).
