Research on Demagnetization of Completely Explosive Electric Pulse Source under Explosion and Shock

Based on the explosion and shock of completely explosive electric pulse source used for conventional electromagnetic pulsed warhead, major parameters of shock wave in the magnet after the contact explosion of electric pulse source are calculated by adopting Detonation Theory; finite element model is utilized to simulate the explosion and shock process, and the parameters of shock waves at different monitoring points are obtained and compared with the calculation results. The findings suggest that these calculation and simulation results are in good agreement, with an error less than 14%. The pressure of shock wave transmitting into the magnetic ring after the contact explosion of 8701 is 0.95 times higher than that of shock wave transmitting into the magnetic ring after the contact explosion of TNT; by increasing the density and detonation velocity of the explosives, the velocity of shock wave in the magnetic ring of the permanent magnet can be raised, thus leveling up the pulse amplitude of initial pulse current of the pulse generator, and improving the performance of the generator.
