Magneto-photonic crystal microcavities based on CoFe 2 O 4 magnetic nanoparticles embedded in SiO 2 /ZrO 2 matrix

We have researched the performance of Photonic Crystals(PCs), the magnetic material of which is SiO2/ZrO2 matrix doped with CoFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles that has a promising future to overcome the problem of integration of magneto-optical isolators(MOIs). The above-mentioned magnetic material are obtained by the sol-gel processing can be used to prepare high optical quality magnetic layers of MOIs that are based on Magnetic Photonic Crystals (MPCs) structure. At wavelength 1550nm, we used the Transfer Matrix Method(TMM) to calculate the transmittance T, Faraday rotation angle θ F and ellipticity ψ F .
