Method and device for evaluating translated sentence, machine translation system with translated sentence evaluating function and machine translation system evaluating device

PURPOSE: To automatically and objectively evaluate the quality of a machine- translated sentence by evaluating a translated setence by a computer. CONSTITUTION: A system function is attained by executing a program stored in a storage device by a CPU and constituted of the 1st translated sentence analyzing step (13) for analyzing a machine-translated sentence, the 2nd translated sentence analyzing step (14) for analyzing a required translated sentence, a phrase correspondence step (15) for analyzing the corresponding relation of phrases between two translated sentences, and a translated sentence coincidence calculating step (16) for calculating the degree of coincidence between the two translated sentence based upon the ratio of corresponding phrases and the degree of coincidence of the corresponding phrases.
