Increasing the efficiency and properties of multicomponent hot gas sprayed coatings

The microhardness and bending strength of hot gas sprayed coatings are described. Microstructures are discussed. Results indicate that coatings based on silicon oxides, aluminium oxides, and titanium oxides with molybdenum additions have a wide range of protection capabilities in environments such as high temperatures, load, and corrosive media. 5 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs.
