The Role of Executive Function in Facing Attention Interference in Elementary School Students: Descriptive Qualitative

This research was conducted to see the role of executive function in dealing with attention disorders in elementary school students. The study was conducted at SDN BEJI 03 with a single subject research approach. The subjects in this study were grade IV students who experienced ADHD disorders. To obtain an in-depth picture of the subject of analysis, research data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data in this study were taken from parents guardians and class teachers. This study uses qualitative data analysis methods. Analysis was obtained from the process of data retrieval later, checking for the validity of the data in this study through the triangulation process of sources and techniques. The results showed the executive function has a role in dealing with Attention Disorders in Elementary School students. The executive function indicator in research is working memory. This is indicated by the increase in students' ability to respond to something that is being learned in the classroom. And the interaction of students outside the classroom with peers or teachers.
