AN OBJECT-ORIENTED APPROACH FOR HYBRID SYSTEM MODELLING
2002
Abstract This paper presents a novel modelling approach for hybrid industrial plants. It is based on the introduction of object-oriented concepts to the Differential Predicate Transition nets. To handle the system complexity a top-down methodology is considered, where class models are successively refined and decomposed. The UML language is also used to represent different views of the modelled system. A cane sugar factory is used as an example to illustrate the proposed approach.
