Lack of Relationship Between the Response to the D‐Antigen and to Some Other Antigens
1969
Summary. Ten Rh(D) negative volunteer blood donors were immunized by the injection of D-positive red cells and at the same time by DTP vaccine and a Haemophilus influenzae vaccine. Antibody titres were determined against the various antigens. No correlation was found between the response to the D-antigen and to the four antigens, thus excluding the possibility of selecting suitable plasma donors by the use of one of these ‘test antigens’.
