Arbeitsmarktdiskriminierung: Zugewanderte, denen man weniger vertraut, bleiben länger arbeitslos (Labour market discrimination: Immigrants who receive less trust remain unemployed longer)

2020
"About one quarter of the population living in Germany has a migration background. A successful labour market integration of migrants can in principle benefit the German economy. Beyond the individual characteristics of migrants, subjective attitudes can play an important role here. In this study we report first that the attitude of Germans towards different migrant groups varies considerably. Depending on their country of origin, immigrant people experience different levels of trust from Germans. Second, we find that less trust is associated with worse labor market indicators, such as a longer transition period from unemployment to employment." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
