The immunomodulatory potency of cimetidine in healthy volunteers.

We further investigated the effect of cimetidine with the same 12 healthy volunteers in order to test whether a potential modification of immunoreactivity might be caused by taking enhanced doses of cimetidine (1,600 mg day −1 ). As in the previous study, function and number of T- and B-lymphocytes as well as reactivity to skintest were measured, to establish a possible dose and time depending effect of cimetidine on the immune system
