Use Of Fem Tools For Stray Loss Optimization In Transformers

Transformer losses are important for designing the transformer. In this paper it is shown how tools based on finite element method (FEM) can improve the optimization process of a transformer. FEM tools help both in situations where something new or unusual is used or to compare a set of different solutions. In the paper is shown how FEM tools can be used to predict temperature rise of structural parts.
