Analysis on HMW-GS composition of 31 foreign wheat genotypes.

The sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE) was used to analyze the HMW-GS composition of 31 foreign wheat genotpes with good-quality.The result showed that there were 3 types of HMW-GS(N,1,2*) at Glu-A1 locus,6 types 7,6+8,7+8,7+9,13+16,17+18 at Glu-B1,and two types 5+10,2+12 at Glu-D1.Some rare subunits were also detected in the study.The main HMW-GS at Glu-A1 was 1.It is necessary to introduce some good-quality varieties as parents in wheat quality improvement.
