Colocación de poste y readaptación de corona preexistente, pilar de una dentadura parcial removible

2009
The fracture of the dental preparation caused cementation loss of a prosthetic crown in an abutment Tooth of a removable partial denture (RPD). The most common solution to this problem is to remake the prosthetic crown as well as the removable denture. It is reported a procedure of readjustment on a preexisting prosthetic crown which was the abutment of a RPD. To keep both dentures a direct reparation was performed with the use of a fiber glass post (Para Post Fiber White Coltene/Whalendent®), a dual resinous cement for the post cementation (Variolink II Ivoclar/Vivadent®) and a dual resin for the stump reconstruction (For Core Handmix Coltene/Whalendent®). The repair of this crown implied great advantages allowing the prosthetic rehabilitation to continue functioning, also offered for the patient an economic saving, of time and of annoyances. The outlined solution was practical and simple; a combined prosthetic rehabilitation could be preserved by applying a direct restoring technique. During the control and follow up for two years the repair keeps working successfully.
