Fusion of Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Explorer(Potato) and Solanum melongena L. cv. Imperial Black Beauty(Eggplant) Protoplasts and Subsequent Callus Regeneration

Successful induction of fusion of plant protoplasts by PEG has already been shown earlier (7,1). This communication describes an attempt to obtain a high frequency of protoplast fusion and viable fusion products of potato and eggplant protoplasts.
