This paper seeks to understand the meaning and the practice of joint efforts as a strategy of social reproduction and knowledge, as well as reaffirmation of reciprocal relations. Was Held the survey in the Community Monte Siao, located in Sao Domingos do Capim, Para. In the data collection we used the non-directive interview and direct observation. From the analysis, it is understood that the joint efforts resignify in Monte Siao for a strategy of social reproduction and knowledge. Among the practiced task forces, some are made for God, others to peasant families and others to men. Such joint efforts are the expression of relations of peasant reciprocity.
