RADON Project: From Children's Game To Intelligent Personal Dosimeter

2020
Aim of this work is to present some relevant results of the Radon Project, relating to the design of innovative systems to increase public interest in the effects of radon gas on human health. The communication of complex phenomena has required the development of specific interfaces in relation to users' characteristics. The innovative systems include: 1) an interactive board game for children to be used in schools 2) an app acting as a virtual sensor for ionizing particles for non-expert adults 3) a low-cost IoT based node using a solid-state sensor for radon monitoring.
