利用氟—18—FDG正子掃描偵測絨毛膜癌病人之肺部轉移

This is a 37-year-old female who had laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy. Two months later, she had large amount of mense and vaginal spotting. The level of blood s-hCG was 78138 mIU/mL. Curettage was then performed and pathological report showed gestational trophoblastic disease, with choriocarcinoma highly suspected. Chest X-ray showed a suspected small round nodule in right upper lung, but the nature of this lesion was yet to be determined.She had hysterectomy and received several courses of chemotherapy later. However, the titer of s-hCG was still elevated. 18F-FDG-PET scan showed a hypermetabolic lesion in the right upper lateral lung field. After surgical resection of this lesion, the pathology showed metastatic choriocarcinoma. In this case, we demonstrated that 18F-FDGPET scan can successfully detect metastatic lesion in a choriocarcinoma patient.
