Isolation and identification of Salmonella pullorum.

[Objective] The disease of 20-day-old chick with the character of swell-joint and blanc-loose stool resulting in few death was analyzed for the provision of the effective measurement of its diagnosis and control.[Method] The bacteriological character of the sample from the diseased chick was tested and 5 strains of Salmonella Pullorum from the sample were identified through bacterial isolation,PCR,biochemical test and its inoculation experiment.[Results] The chicks could be infected by the isolated strain,which were similar clinical signs as the diseased chick in farm.[Conclusion] The pathogen of Salmonella Pullorum was main reason in the chick-diseasing.
