Abstract The reaction of phenylchlorocarbene with 3-ethyl-1-azabicyclo[1.1.0]-butane ( 3 ) in pentane at 25 °C occurs with a rate constant of 3.2 × 10 8 M −1 s −1 , most likely via ylide 4 .
