Tudo acontece no jardim secreto

2020
Abstract: In this text we discuss, from Sociology of Childhood perspective, how childhood and inclusion dialogue takes place in the context of the film “The secret garden”, produced in 1993, from the adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic fairy tale of the same name, published in 1911. The theoretical discussion is anchored in the studies of Plaisance (2004; 2005; 2006; 2010; 2015), Corsaro (2011), Sarmento (2004; 2005), Ferreira (2004) and Fernandes (2004). When looking at childhood and inclusion in the perspective of the Sociology of Childhood, we see interdisciplinary dialogues concerning theoretical and conceptual trends that complement each other, making room to possible mixture in the construction of new knowledge, especially when inclusion, childhood and imagination, in a relation of interdependence, arouse heterogeneousness and the overcome of the traditional model of socialization processes based on peer culture. Keywords: Inclusion. Childhood. Socialization processes. Peer culture.
