Redes sociais de gestantes de risco habitual na Atenção Primária à Saúde: a influência das relações no cuidado pré-natal

Prenatal care includes disease prevention, health promotion and treatment of problems that may occur during pregnancy. Women's social relationships in this period can contribute to better prenatal care, by expanding the resources available for health care. The objective of the article is to present the configuration of the social networks of pregnant women monitored during prenatal care in a medium-sized municipality in Rio de Janeiro in two units of Primary Health Care. A qualitative approach with a focus on Network Analysis was used. Social. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews through a script with questions that guided the women's reports about professionals and / or people who acted from a health care perspective. The UCINET Software was used to build and present social networks and allowed to clarify the relationships of pregnant women in the search for health care in Primary Health Care. Through the study it was possible to observe the relevance of the relationships established during prenatal care by pregnant women, with emphasis on the female figures mentioned by the pregnant women. These were seen as references for information and affective support. Doctors and nurses, with regard to health professionals, emerged as those with whom the bond and trust relationships are more solid.
