Las maquetas como material didáctico para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la lectura e interpretación de planos en la ingeniería

We use the models as auxiliary tools to plan and to show engineering projects, but also they can be an excellent didactic material for teaching and learning of the reading, interpretation and drawing the planes that define a project or its different elements. This work refers to the experience realized by authors with the students of Technical Engineering of Public Works in the unit of Interpretation of Planes of the subject of Representation System. The difficulty that the students have to interpret the language, codes and conventions of the graphical expression is among the motives why models have been used as a method of three-dimensional representation that allows us to understand and easily interpret the constructive characteristics of the different elements and the necessary operations to go on from the representation to the construction of the unit of work. The communication describes the activity taken with the students, the selection of the units to represent, the production of the models and planes, putting special accent in the conformity between the graphical representation and the three-dimensional model. Likewise it is analyzed the didactic capacities of one of the works realized by the students as well as the evaluation and conclusions of the experience.
