Effect of Fe and Zinc through Fortified Rice Provision on Blood Profile in Students of Annihayah Islamic Boarding School Karawang

The study aim was to determine the influence of fortified rice contained Fe and Zinc elements on the blood profile of the children. The study showed non-anemia included case and control group had Fe and Zinc effect through fortified rice consumed. The mean corpuscular volume(MCV), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) and red blood distribution width (RDW) level increased significantly (p 0.05). There was no significantly difference (p>0.05) on hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC and RDW level values between case and control group.
