Reply to “Comment on ‘Natural Bond Orbitals and the Nature of the Hydrogen Bond’”

We respond to the Comment by Weinhold \& Glendening criticising the paper by Stone (J. Phys. Chem. A, 121, 1531-1534 (2017)). We conclude that their comment offers no argument against Stone's criticism of the NBO formulation of the charge-transfer energy. Their critique of symmetry-adapted perturbation theory contains a number of errors and misconceptions.
