Fractures of the Spine in Children

2015
Paediatric spinal injuries are less common than adult spinal injuries and involve different injury patterns. The evaluation and treatment requires knowledge of the embryology, anatomy, and types of injuries unique to the age of the child. A working knowledge of paediatric spinal ossification centres, as well as the normal findings of the paediatric spinal radiograph, is essential.
