ABSTRACT: We know that nobody is willing to do the same reading of a familiar myth. Repetition is comforting in the innovation, in turn , is confrontational . This concept makes us become a myth familiar with conventional interpretations or already depleted, a new context, a new interpretation , something unusual. The comparison of the history of deaf education with the Myth of Plato's Cave , showing the rights and wrongs in this way, attempts to invalidate the identity and releases have occurred. And finally , presenting the life of deaf people, with the Royal Bilingualism , to go "seas never before navigated" , bringing new perspectives contrary to current practices, once provided to our times.
