Selection of Esterases Used in Detecting the Residue of Pesticides

2010
Based on the inhibiting mechanism of esterase, the general esterase activities and the specific activities in livers of various animals materials such as chicken liver, duck liver and pork liver were studied and compared for the detection of organophosphate pesticides. Results indicated that α-naphthylacetate hydrolase(α-NA esterase) from pork liver possesses the higher general esterase activity specific, activity and sensitivity, compared to that from chicken liver and duck liver, which makes pork liver an optimal enzyme source for detecting agricultural pesticides residue.
