The contribution of intercultural psychology to the projective evaluation process in the contemporary world

This article examines the contribution of intercultural psychology in the field of psychological assessment, with a particular interest in its potential for facing the cultural complexity of the contemporary world. Cultural psychology is based on an epistemological approach which underlines the intimate and constitutive relationship between socio-cultural structures and individual psychological development. In order to introduce the perspective of intercultural psychology on clinical evaluation and practice, we will first introduce the foundations of this intercultural approach, then discuss the question of the cultural affiliations in the contemporary context of cultural complexity, and finally develop new perspectives for clinical evaluation in professional practice and research.
