Evaluacion rapida de la emergencia social en Argentina

2004
The study aimed at understanding the perceptions social organizations have, regarding the impact the financial, and economic crises had on their own organizations, specifically, as it concerns those activities related to assistance lending, and, how the crisis' global impact affected communities, and, households. Through a qualitative analysis, the study reviewed data, and the Government's role and social policy, examining new, productive ways to overcome social conflict. The analysis revealed the impact on the poorest segments of the population was historically, de most devastating, threatening their own survival, adding the predominant factor is indeed the economic, and political model which is in crisis. Moreover, the fall of the middle class not only had the inherent consequences, but derives a process of greater impoverishment for society as a whole, with declines in living standards, that further entail significant future losses affecting the productive sector, thus employment and wages.
