Treatment of Severe Closed Head Injury
1987
In the past 10 years the interest in severe head injuries has revived considerably. Many laboratory investigations, clinical studies and multi-centre trials have been conducted and a lot of information has been accumulated in data banks. But in spite of all of these efforts the treatment of the severely head-injured patient remains largely controversial. The objective of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of intracranial pressure (ICP) recording and volume-pressure testing and the efficacy of treatment for raised ICP.
