La educación emocional en las aulas universitarias, un reto a alcanzar

This article reveals a pedagogical experience around the preparation of the students of the Nursing career of the University of Babahoyo for emotional education, in the face of the challenges that contemporaneity demands from professionals in their performance. For this purpose, the contributions of various authors on the subject are taken as a theoretical reference and, on this basis, a program for an elective course is proposed, based on the initial training of future professionals. Its conception is based on the state of the art of the investigated subject and then, from various methods and resources, students can develop skills in attending to emotional manifestations that can occur in the daily life of their work. The expected results will be positive, which will be seen in the acceptance by the student body, the active participation, the grades and the motivation achieved.
