Anxiety, depression and stress among women in teaching profession during lockdown due to COVID-19

Everyone   is living through an unprecedented global crisis with unimaginable consequences. People are forced to stay home. Lockdown changed the perspective of educational system. E-learning came to the forefront, across the world. Teachers have been forced to adapt to e-learning, leaving the traditional way of teaching and if teacher is woman then pressure specially mental pressure will be more.  They are puzzled with home responsibilities and professional demands along with the changes.  So, aim of this survey is to evaluate the anxiety, depression and   stress among the women teacher during lockdown due to pandemic. Total 101 participants were selected using snowball sampling technique through online survey in India. Depression, Anxiety and Stress were assessed by using DASS-21.  Results show significant level of anxiety, depression and stress among women in teaching profession specially ages. between 31 years to 50 years. Maintaining balance between family responsibilities and necessity to adopt new technologies along with innovative teaching leads to anxiety, depression and stress among women teachers during lockdown.
