Chemotherapy for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia: Study Results from the Acute Myeloid Leukemia Cooperative Group and Overview

In 1978 the Acute Myeloid Leukemia Cooperative Group (AMLCG) started its work. We take this opportunity to summarize the major results of the 10 years’ work of this study group and combine it with an overview of results from other multicenter study results as published during the past decade. What are the lessons learned from clinical study data during the 1980s resulting from more than 5000 patients treated for AML?
