ESTILOS COGNITIVOS E SOBREDOTAÇÃO:: EQUIDADE ESTRUTURAL ANALÍTICA E AUTONOMIA FACE AOS CONTEXTOS DE APRENDIZAGEM

EnglishThe cognitive styles are seen as intellectual and emotional features relatively stable, which are indicators of how individuals perceive and interact with the learning environment (Keefe, 1988). The standard stylistic Field Dependence-Independence (DIC), one of the best known and studied (Witkin & Goodenough, 1985) has been associated with multiple dimensions of personality, reflecting in a nexus of cognitive domains, affective and motivational, highly associated with a analytical and informational processing greater autonomy from the environment. This article presents an analysis about the association between this style and giftedness, focusing on cognitive characteristics, based on the results of different studies. It was concluded that a deeper understanding of this issue requires further investigation. It was noted the lack of studies about the relationship between the cognitive styles and the emotional characteristics of gifted individuals. portuguesOs estilos cognitivos sao ponderados como caracteristicas intelectuais e afetivas relativamente estaveis, que se constituem como indicadores da forma como o individuo percebe e interage com os ambientes de aprendizagem (Keefe, 1988). O padrao estilistico Dependencia-Independencia de Campo (DIC), um dos mais conhecidos e estudados (Witkin & Goodenough, 1985) tem sido relacionado com multiplas dimensoes da personalidade, refletindo um nexo de dominios cognitivos, afetivos e motivacionais, altamente associados a um processamento informacional analitico e a maior autonomia face ao ambiente. Este artigo apresenta uma analise da associacao entre este estilo e a sobredotacao, com enfoque em caracteristicas cognitivas com base em resultados de diferentes estudos. Concluiu-se que um entendimento aprofundado da tematica exige a realizacao de mais investigacao. Constatou-se a escassez de estudos sobre a relacao entre os estilos cognitivos e caracteristicas afetivas do sobredotado.
