Therapeutic effects of 31 cases without residue of foreign body during laparoscopic appendectomy (LA)

2006
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect on no residual foreign body during laparoscopic appendectomy. Method Laparoscopic appendectomy of no residual foreign body(group I), tradtional laparoscopic appendectomy(group II) and open appendectomy (group III) were compared on the index of operative time, postoperative intestinal function recovery time, hospitalization time and wound healing status. Results In the operative time, passing flatus time, the group I was obviouly shorter than that other two groups (P0.05 and P=0.01). In the postoperative analgesic use, hospitalization time, incisional infection rate, adhesive ileus and abdominal residual infection rate were lower than that group III(P0.01),but there were no significant difference compared with group II (P0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic appendectomy of no residual foreign body is much superior to the traditional laparoscopic appendectomy and open appendectomy
