Ocular optical piece insertion tool

2015
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pushing force when extruding an IOL (IntraOcular Lens) into an eye and decrease its push-in speed without complicating an IOL pushing structure.SOLUTION: An IOL injector 100 operable to insert an IOL 1 into a patient's eye, includes: a long cylindrical body 10; a plunger 20 that is disposed in a cylinder of the body 10, moves in the longitudinal direction, and, one end of which comes into contact with the IOL 1; and a pushing-force conversion part 30 that is disposed at the body part 10, engaged with the other end of the plunger 20 to convert linear movement to become the pushing force of the IOL 1 into a rotary movement, after converting the speed of the rotary movement, further converts the rotary movement after the speed conversion into a linear movement, and applies the linear movement after the conversion to the plunger 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
