Screening of natural dyes

The aim of this analysis is not only to prove that natural dyes are eco-friendly but also to provide general information to facilitate their use for bulk processing. Natural dyes may get contaminated during harvesting andselection of mordant should be done taking care of their carcinogenicity/ toxicity. Comparing spectroscopic observations of dye solution and the extract from the fabric could be an approach towards identification of natural dyes on substrate.
